I connected with a great community-based arts organization called Arts4All. They are officially Jumblies Theatre venture, but they seem to be standing on their own feet pretty strongly.
I was fortunate to meet Liz Rucker, the artistic director as well as a few artists as I sat through their 1st meeting of their new season. They run regular Monday classes at Davenport Perth Neighbourhood Centre (DPNC) as well as they manage a few other projects with Pelham Park, which is Toronto Community Housing facility.
I shared with Liz that I am interested in creating an inter-generational project. I was surprised and ecstatic when she told me that they have started to work on one just this past year. So, I am certainly going to pursue the connection with Arts4All and work on possible collaborations.
And, in addition, there is also a lot of wonderful projects that Jumblies are creating. If you would like to find out more about Jumblies, please visit http://www.jumbliestheatre.org/now/index.html
